This year we are reconnecting with the student community of Sibiu by engaging our resources in two major events with great weight in the shaping of the future generations of IT talents.
National Olympiad in Informatics
In 2017, the city of Sibiu hosts the national stage of the Informatics Olympiad for gymnasium classes, a prestigious event organized by the Ministry of National Education, along with the School Inspectorate of Sibiu County.
Ropardo as a partner of the local organizing committee has the honor to support excellence in Informatics by awarding prizes for champions of the 2017 edition. Also, Ropardo developed the official website for the qualified students and other interested visitors to get all the information needed.
The primary goal of the Informatics Olympiad is to stimulate interest in computing science and information technology. Another important goal is to bring together exceptionally talented high school students from Romania and to have them share scientific and cultural experiences.
Infoliceanul – 24th edition
It is a tradition for us to support Infoliceanul with a great team of junior and senior software engineers that ensure valuable know-how for the Programming competition. All winners (place 1, 2 and 3) are rewarded with well-deserved prizes offered by Ropardo.
From 2017, Ropardo signed an agreement with the “School Inspectorate of Sibiu County” to include “Infoliceanul” on the official list of events for high schools in Sibiu county. Like in the previous years, “Infoliceanul” is organized with support from the “Brukenthal” National College and “Avram Iancu” Technology High School and their committed staff.
In 2017, “Infoliceanul” is presenting the 24th edition, that is organized on 4 pillars:
- Programming in C/C++
- Educational Software / Educational Content – Home Based Programs, presented at the competition
- Multimedia presentation – 2-student teams are asked to prepare a multimedia presentation using PowerPoint in a given time slot (2h) on a theme proposed by the examination committee
- Implementation of technical drawings (AutoCAD), for 9th-12th grade students in technological high schools
