FITEDIH is a Digital Innovation Hub operating under the Digital Europe Programme (2021-2027), which serves as all-in-one support center for Romanian business landscape and public sector – Regiunea Centru. FIT EDIH’s primary focus areas encompass Smart City solutions, Industry 4.0 technologies, and transformative eHealth initiatives.
Who Are the Beneficiaries of FIT EDIH?
For those curious about exploring the applicability of digital innovation, eager to adopt cutting-edge technologies, seeking to co-create a tailored digital transformation strategy, or in need of assistance in securing funding for technology projects, FIT EDIH stands ready to offer the necessary support.
Over the next three years, a total of 131 Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and 17 Public Organizations (POs) will have the opportunity to become beneficiaries of FIT EDIH’s free services as part of the digital vanguard. This initiative is aimed at empowering these entities to become frontrunners in the digital landscape, leveraging the expertise and resources offered by FIT EDIH.
As part of this transformative journey the project has planned to organize 12 events during this period, creating contexts for SMEs and POs to engage with the latest augmentations in Smart City, Manufacturing, and eHealth technologies. These events, organized as meetups under the name of Sibiu StartUp Talks, are designed to foster collaboration, facilitate knowledge exchange, and provide hands-on experience with the forefront of digital innovations.

The first stage of membership comes with discussions, networking sessions, webinars to keep the community informed with the latest news from the digitization ecosystem of the Regiunea Centru. Additionally, in-person events provide the ideal platform to connect with industry peers and technology vendors, fostering valuable relationships and discovering the needs and the digital maturity level of the beneficiaries in order to provide the appropriate support.
- Getting to Know Each Other Better
The FIT EDIH commitment to digital transformation extends to personalized meetings with technology experts, both online and in-person, where SMEs and POs can explore specific demonstrations and presentations. These activities centered on Smart City, Manufacturing, and eHealth areas will take places in 6 counties from Regiunea Centru: Alba, Brașov, Covasna, Harghita, Mureș and Sibiu.

As FIT EDIH opens periodic calls, a new meticulously selected group of beneficiaries will have the opportunity to benefit from diverse services for 6-12 months. FIT EDIH’s resources may be limited, but the most ambitious beneficiaries will be prioritized, then equipped with the needed know-how and digital solutions for a full suite of necessities.

Once carefully selected through open calls, digitally vanguard organizations embark on a transformative journey with FIT EDIH members and partners, accessing a customizable catalogue of services. Over 6-12 months, beneficiaries will be equipped with necessary tools and support to maximize the impact of technology on the organization, propelling it towards a high level of digital maturity.
