This year brings us all an emotional glimpse of history- the Great Unification. 100 years have passed, and we are celebrating that moment on December 1st 2018.

Romania celebrates the Great Union and we all pay tribute to those who, 100 years ago, have succeeded in realizing a dream: the unification of all Romanians.

Back then…
It happened in Alba Iulia, where the declaration was read during a public event, attended by over 100,000 Romanians. On December 1, 1918, in the Great National Assembly the “Resolution” was read, officially proclaiming the union of the rest of the Romanian provinces: Transylvania, Banat, Crișana and Maramureș with the Kingdom of Romania. This was the peak moment of the historical process that led to forming Greater Romania.
