"Father of Java" leaves Oracle

James Gosling, the creator of the original design of Java has resigned from Oracle a week ago.  The news is anounced only now on his blog and confirmed by other sites (where you can find more details):“Father of Java” Resigns from Sun/Oracle

The reason he resigned is unclear and the only hint comes from his blog “As to why I left, it’s difficult to answer: just about anything I could say that would be accurate and honest would do more harm than good. The hardest part is no longer being with all the great people I’ve had the privilege to work with over the years. I don’t know what I’m going to do next, other than take some time off before I start job hunting.”

Job hunting? While Oracle is making heavy use of Java in its products there are other big players (Google and IBM comes in mind) which would like to have him in their teams…
